The impact of reverse logistics process coordination on third party relationship quality: A moderated mediation model for multichannel retailers in the fashion industry

Multichannel retailing is a widely adopted strategy in the fashion industry. Companies in this industry find it a source of competitive advantage to invest in reverse logistics infrastructure. However, limited empirical studies investigate the enablers of the relationship quality between the retailers and their reverse logistics service providers. This study quantifies the impact of reverse logistics process coordination between retailers and logistics service providers on relationship quality. Moreover, it tests the mediating role of reverse logistics service quality and the moderating role of conflict frequency in this relationship. Data were collected through a survey using a purposive sample of 241 retail store managers from the fashion retail industry of Pakistan. For this purpose, a self-administered questionnaire was developed using a five-point Likert Scale to gauge the responses. Conditional process analysis was used to evaluate the moderated mediation model. The findings showed a significant positive impact of reverse logistics process coordination on the relationship quality with a logistics service provider, a significant positive mediation effect of reverse logistics service quality, and a significant moderation effect of conflict frequency on the indirect relationship. However, conflict frequency, contrary to the hypothesis in the study, strengthened the indirect relationship. Furthermore, the moderation effect of conflict frequency on the direct relationship was insignificant. This study will help managers better understand the best practices leading to effective management of reverse logistics processes, particularly product returns.     

Preventing Customer Churn in the Mobile Telecommunication Industry: Is Mobile Money Usage the Missing Link?

The paper examines the influence of mobile money usage on customer continuance intention (CCI). The study conveniently sampled 507 mobile money users to test the research model using PLS-SEM. Satisfaction, trust and active usage of mobile money were found to influence CCI. Active usage of mobile money was also confirmed as a mediator in the relationship between satisfaction and trust, on customer continuance. The study thus validated a theoretical model of customer continuance intention as it relates to mobile money usage. It has also provided a new perspective on managing customer churn in an emerging market.     

Long-term forecasting of fuel demand at theater entry points

Managing the distribution of fuel in theater requires Army fuel planners to forecast demand at the strategic level to ensure that fuel will be in the right place, at the right time, and in the amounts needed. This work presents a simulation approach to forecasting that accounts for the structure of the supply chain network when aggregating the demand of war fighters across the theater over the forecasting horizon. The resulting empirical distribution of demand at the theater entry point enables planners to identify forecast characteristics that impact their planning process, including the amplitudes and temporal positions of peaks in demand, and the estimated lead time to the point of use. Experimentation indicates that the forecasts are sensitive to the pattern of war fighter demand, the precise structure of the in-theater supply chain network, and the constraints and uncertainty present in the network, all of which are critical planning considerations.     

农产品电商与物流共生关系演化及协同度评价研究

农产品电商与物流协同将直接影响农产品的流通水平。运用共生理论,剖析了农产品电商与物流的共生关系机理与演化形式。利用微分方程分析了共生关系的演化过程,求解了共生关系的稳定条件。结果表明,协同共生均衡状态下产出水平得到提高,协同共生关系进入理想的稳定状态需要外部引导干预。对2013—2018年中国农产品电商与物流协同度变化的测量结果表明,当前中国农产品电商与物流协同尚处于初级阶段,共生关系表现为非互惠协同共生。

基于Citespace的物流企业管理研究科学知识图谱分析

通过分析我国物流企业管理的研究历史和现状,归结出当下讨论热点,判断未来研究趋势,为后续我国物流企业管理的发展创新提供参考意见。以CNKI数据库中2005~2019年刊载的371篇物流企业管理文献为数据基础,运用Citespace软件,绘制发文时间、关键词共现等图谱进行分析,研究结果显示:物流企业管理研究的发文量总体呈下降趋势;围绕焦点的研究话题较为分散;企业物流、物流管理、第三方物流、物流成本、对策是高频关键词,代表物流企业管理研究的热点;研究前沿主要体现在绿色物流、服务质量管理、风险管理等主题上。
